Obama urges China to revalue its currency
President Barack Obama has urged Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to speed up the revaluation of his nation's currency.
In a two-hour long meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, Mr. Obama expressed his concern that the slow pace of reforms was affecting both the global and U.S. economies.

Sensex down 85 points
Snapping a huge seven-session rally, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 85 points to 19,417 points amid profit-booking, and after the Reserve Bank increased key policy rates today.

China underlines its role in South Asia
China underlined its role in South Asia, saying that as an "important member" of Asia, it is willing to work with India for peace and stability in the sub-continent.
During a media briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu said that China is committed to safeguarding peace and stability of Asia, including South Asia.
