Uttarakhand has received excess rainfall this monsoon season. According to reports, monsoon rainfall this year has broken a thirty seven year-old record in Dehradun.

Director of Met department, Anand Sharma told our correspondent that still a fortnight of September is left and monsoon is active in the state.

Meanwhile a western Disturbance is likely to affect Uttarakhand from tomorrow night to next 72 hours. Due to that, heavy rain may occur from 18th evening onward at isolated places in the state.
